Dear colleagues!

This year will be 60-year anniversary of prof., D.Sc. in History Sergei Victorovich Yarov, who passed away in September 2015. One intends to honor his memory by organization of the conference, which is planned on October 9, 2019.
The conference will include two parts: scientific and memorial. The issues for the first are presupposed by scholarly interests of S.V. Yarov.

Western-European section of the Archaeographic Commission of the RAS and Saint Petersburg Institute of History of the RAS on June 21, 2019 conduct the 9^th Scientific Readings in commemoration of O.A. Dobiash-Rozhdestvenskaya.

Its sessions take place at the Conference-hall (room 23) of Saint Petersburg Institute of History of the RAS (address: Petrozavodskaya str., 7). The conference begins at 10.30.

This time professor of the University of Florence Marcello Garzaniti will deliver a report on the issues of non-possessors’ ideology and Maximus the Greek.

Post-graduate student of the Department of the Contemporary History of Russia Vyacheslav Albertovich Mosunov was granted “Marshal of the USSR Kirill Meretskov” literature award for year 2019. The award ceremony took place on May 29, 2019 at Lenigrad region universal scientific library with the support from Committee on Culture of the Leningrad region.

The Reading hall of the Scientific and Historical Archive of SPbIH of the RAS will be closed down from

July 1, 2019 till September 2, 2019 (inclusive).

The last workday is June 27, 2019.

On June 18, 2019 at 2.00 p.m. at the Conference hall (room 23) of Saint Petersburg Institute of History of the RAS (SPbIH of the RAS) will begin the International Scientific Conference “North-East Asia and Russia in the Second Half of the 19^th and in the 20^th centuries”. The conference agenda includes reports of scholars from SPbIH of the RAS, Institute of History of the Saint Petersburg State University, Regional Museum of Sakhalin Oblast (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk), the National Institute of History of Korea (Seoul) and Korea University (Seoul).
